Glossybox September 2016

This month Glossybox have sent me a gentle reminder to show why they are my favourite monthly subscription service. Although I was extremely disappointed with the birthday box that was sent last month, this month they have outdone themselves by bringing one of their best boxes to date. From the box itself to the content inside, I am in love. In fact, I do lowkey wish that they would ditch the pink box hereafter and stick with the red. Nonetheless, here’s what I received in my September Glossybox.

The Content

September’s Glossybox is in collaboration with the Beauty Director of Red Magazine, and  I must say I am super excited to try some of the items she has helped select. Before I begin to discuss the items I am most excited for, I do have to say that the GOSH Long Lasting Lip Marker (£8.50) is a fail and a product I would never recommend wasting your money on. I’m not sure if I received a dud but it is completely dry and the nib feels terrible against the skin. Now that that’s out of the way, I can share the products I am really keen to try.

The Body Shop have recently launched an array of masks and I received a sample of one to try. I couldn’t help using this straight away and unfortunately I wasn’t able to notice a significant difference with one use. The formula is very similar to Glamglow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment. Could this be an affordable alternative? I am definitely intrigued.

The second mask in the box is from a brand called Vitamasques who have created a range of masks inspired by Korean technology. The Hydro Face Mask (£7.99) claims to infuse your skin with a heavy dose of moisture that will keep your skin moisturised for 120 hours (almost an entire week!). If this mask works then Vitamasques can definitely expect me to shop their range.

Moving on to the products that have made this box such a huge hit for me. Rodial are a brand I have been meaning to try for the longest time and I am so pleased that Glossybox have included a product I know I will get a lot of use out of. The Rodial Smokey Eye Pen (£17.00) glides on so smoothly and is an intense true black – the kind I love for the waterline.

Ever since I began to become active in the online beauty community I have heard so many vloggers and bloggers share their love for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (£19.00), and it has been on my list for many years. Thanks to Glossybox, I can now finally try the cult favourite and see how good it really is. As for the product name, I’m sure that’s a stretch, right?

The final product that I am really looking forward to try is the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat (£7.99). I have been searching for a new top coat but have not been sure where to spend my money. Overall I have heard a lot of positive reviews in regards to Revlon’s polish formulas so I have high expectations for this. Infused with “Diamond Flex Technology” this should give your nails a chip-proof long-lasting finish. I’ll definitely be reporting back on this, even if it is a mini review on my Instagram (@missrqureshi).

I’m pretty sure this box may have convinced you to sign up if you haven’t already, and you can easily sign up here (US) or here (UK). If you are already signed up, share your thoughts with me in the comment section. Alternatively, if you have any other subscription box recommendations do let me know.

Thank you for reading, I’m signing out until my next post.
