I’m sure many of you have seen the replicas of NARS brushes pop up during browsing sessions of eBay. I have always been intrigued but never bothered to make a purchase until recently. I own a rather large selection of NARS brushes and I love them, but they are very expensive.
I had been wanting to purchase the NARS Kabuki Artisan Brush for quite some time but the £43.00 price tag has always stopped me. In order to see how it would feel to use such a brush I thought I would just go ahead and try a replica and see how it works.
There are lots of sellers on eBay that offer the same brush for various amounts. I found the cheapest to be £1.25 with free p&p. The brush would be shipped from China so I was aware that it would take some time before I received it. Surprisingly, I received it after 2 weeks packaged well and in perfect condition.
I have played around with the NARS Kabuki Artisan Brush at SpaceNK since purchasing the replica and you may want to sit down for this if you aren’t already – there is no difference. None. Zero. Zilch.
You probably just read that and thought how? Well, that I do not know. What I do know is that this brush for £1.25 performs just as well as the original did in store and similarly to the other NARS brushes I own.
The brush looks exactly like the original and if you were to put them together you would not be able to tell the difference in the slightest. The hairs used feel just like those on my other NARS brushes and it picks and blends product similarly too.
As aforementioned, I do have a large selection of NARS brushes and some of them do shed upon first use, but that does stop after a couple of uses. Whilst some of them do shed, others do not at all. The brush I have currently has not shed any hair since I have owned it. I did wash it immediately upon receipt and faced no concerns at all.
If I am entirely honest, I’m unable to comprehend how the brushes are so similar that a difference is difficult to pinpoint. Nonetheless, I just saved myself £41.75 and couldn’t be happier.
Have you tried any of the replica NARS brushes? What are your thoughts? Alternatively, if you own the original NARS brushes how do you find them? Share your thoughts with me in the comment section.
Thank you for reading, I’m signing out until my next post.
