If you haven’t heard of Tarte’s Shape Tape Contour Concealer, are you actually makeup obsessed? All jokes aside, I have not been able to watch any Best of Beauty 2016 videos without a mention of this concealer. When I first heard of the release, I was not that interested. However, I can admit that the hype of this product got to me and I just had to make a purchase. I must say, I am so glad I did.
Tarte’s Shape Tape Contour Concealer is truly a multifunctional product, as the formula can be used to contour and highlight with as well as hide imperfections. Tarte claim that this nutrient-rich formula helps promote skin elasticity as well as illumination with each use. The formula promises to provide full crease-free coverage and application, and work for all skin types. Fortunately, I can say the claims are valid.
Packaged in a beautiful glass tube, the formula truly does offer 100% full coverage. You can hide all imperfections and eliminate any darkness under the eye with the smallest amount of product. Despite the full coverage formula, it feels lightweight on the skin and blends beautifully well. Furthermore, the formula does not accentuate any dry patches of skin – anywhere. One of my biggest concerns is dry skin under my eye and this formula blends seamlessly over without creasing – whether or not I set the product or not. Usually, I cannot use any product under my eye without setting it to prevent creasing, however with this formula it is not necessary which is remarkable to me. The formula dries down to a silky smooth finish without the help of anything else.
The only claim I cannot confirm currently is that the formula helps promote skin elasticity, as I have not noticed anything significant as of yet. However, maybe with further use there may be some improvement. Other than this claim, everything else Tarte have stated I can certainly vouch for.
Rather quickly Tarte’s Shape Tape Contour Concealer has become my all time favourite and I am certainly going to invest in a darker shade to see how well it works to contour with. In fact, I may even try to find a shade that could possibly match me to use as a foundation. As much as I do love this product, the only downside currently is that due to its popularity, it has become rather hard to get a hold of it. I purchased mine directly from Tarte’s website, delivery did take some time but it was certainly worth it. Custom taxes are calculated at checkout so you do not have to pay anything upon receipt. Alternatively, you can purchase the concealer from QVC UK, but the shade selection they have is very limited. Other than that the only other downside is that the shade selection can certainly be expanded on and I do hope Tarte add more shades to their collection. I have good faith that they will, considering the demand and feedback they have received in regards to it.
If you have been debating whether or not to try this product, I truly recommend you do I don’t think you will be disappointed. If you have tried it already, do share your thoughts with me in the comment section.
Thank you for reading, I’m signing out until my next post.
