Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you my favourite affordable liquid lipsticks by Barry M. I am so impressed with this formula that I rearranged my blogging schedule to ensure I was able to bring this review to you far sooner than initially anticipated.
I would never have assumed that Barry M would create liquid lipsticks, so their announcement came as a surprise. If you were not able to guess, I am slightly obsessed with liquid lipsticks, and the majority that I own are rather expensive. So, when a more affordable brand creates their own version, you can bet I am more than willing to give them a try.
There’s nothing too fancy about the packaging of this product, it does not come in any nice cardboard box but it really is what’s inside that counts. The formula is light as air and applies seamlessly on to the lips. It’s a very liquid formula so be sure not to tip your bottle upside down as it will drop out (I learned the hard way).
With one swipe you achieve full opacity, irrespective of the shade. The formula is consistent throughout. Something that I truly appreciate, as it’s no hidden secret that some colours are harder to formulate than others.
Once set, you achieve a full stunning matte lip that will last you for a couple of hours (depending on your activity). Furthermore, topping up is easy, as you can re-apply without the fear of the formula crumbling or becoming uncomfortable to wear.
There are five shades currently in the range and I am really hoping Barry M expand on this collection very soon. Fortunately for now, Barry M have the basics covered by giving you two nude options, a red, a pink and a purple.
Each liquid lipstick costs only £4.99 and from my research it appears that the formula is rather similar to that of the Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks. I personally have not tried Kylie’s range so cannot confirm the similarity, but they are also similar to my Colour Pop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks – just not as drying on the lips.
Currently you can purchase 5 liquid lipsticks for the bargain price of £15 at Superdrug, so you have the perfect reason to pick them up as soon as possible before the offer expires.
